Increase Meeting Retention Beyond 30 days
In Slack it was mentioned meeting history is limited to 30 days. Especially for the pendant, I would like a MUCH longer retention period.

Sorry for the miscommunication. We will let you store meetings indefinitely, not just the last 30 days. The data is retained, it just isn’t exposed in the UI right now. We will implement showing more than 30 days ASAP

How long is the actual retention length now? Do I still need to be worried that my meetings from 3 months ago will be deleted without my consent? or 6 months or 1 year...How long will past meetings be retained, exactly?
- DDan Siroker updated the statusShipped

Guys, this is a big shock today that I can't access my older meetings. I have an important meeting later today that I need to look back at the notes from the previous meeting and I can't get access. This limitation was not made clear on your website. Actually it says the very opposite in the free plan description "Access your data forever." - not true if the UI only allows you to access the past 30 days. Please push out the update for this asap so your core promise / claim can be true.

Recordings forever would be great, but at least 2 years. I have notes to review from the past that become relevant again, especially for work.

I'm shocked that only 30 days is retained. Completely and uterly blindsided by this fact. All Limitless is storing is text. No video, audio or images. Just text. I'm not sure why we are even having to request this...

Yes, yes, yes. It would be a great benefit to be able to keep some recordings forever.
I could, I’m sure, create a workflow that did this by exporting the audio, and copying the transcript and summaries, but it’d be way easier if I could just star a recording or somehow designate it as a keeper.
Just recently I went looking for a meeting that - it turns out - happened right at the end of April so it’s no longer in my system.

I had assumed, just by the name “Limitless”, coupled with the fact that the notes are just text (no large audio or video files included), that there would be no limit at all to the number of meeting notes you can save.
I often have meetings where they are about things that are well into the future - for example a meeting about something happening in the next quarter, 3-5 months away. I would expect that I could go into Limitless and pull up those notes 3 months later to reference what was talked about.
The other day I went to look for a meeting that I had on April 12. This was an important meeting, and I relied fully on Limitless to do the note-taking. The notes were great, and the summary was fine. I went back to reference it, and it was gone. I assumed this was a bug, but I see now that this is by design.
As a paid user, this is incredibly disappointing. Text files take up next to nothing. At the very least, give me an option to save the text locally, and make it VERY OBVIOUS in the UI that notes/meetings are going to be deleted. Had I known, I would have simply copied/pasted the notes into one of the many, many other apps and services that provide a truly limitless number of text notes to be saved.
The ability to reference “anything you’ve seen, said, or heard” is vastly different than ”Anything you’ve seen, said, or heard in the past 30 days.”

If it's kept at the 30 day history the name and tagline should change. "Personalized AI powered by what you’ve seen, said, and heard" is already misleading because it doesn't capture anything you've seen, and limited history is the exact opposite of limitless.

very disappointed that a product that is “limitless” has limits Is this the same as the pendant coming out? I bought the pendant to be able to remember things. Possibly longer than 30 days. Shocking i say… shocking.
- MMaclean D
Could the the free version have 30 days history with the paid version having unlimited? Limitless only stores the text transcript of meetings which has a very minimal storage cost. For $29/month I would expect much longer than 30 days history. For $5 you could probably get away with 30 days.

The product is not 'Limitless' if it can't even hold a useful amount of history??
